Perfect for medium and large businesses looking for a highly reliable private point-to-point network that can handle moving large data volumes.
Dedicated wavelength means dedicated bandwidth and guaranteed performance. Unlike technologies that operate over a shared medium, each customer is allocated a dedicated channel on 42-24’s passive optical network, so you know the bandwidth will always be there when you need it.
42-24 DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) wavelength services offer high-capacity and dedicated connectivity solutions for businesses and carriers in Tasmania. With capacities of 10Gb/s and 100Gb/s, 42-24 services provide the bandwidth necessary to support data-intensive applications and facilitate seamless communication across major population centres such as Hobart, Launceston, Devonport, Burnie, and even Rosebery on the remote west coast of Tasmania.
One of the key advantages of 42-24 DWDM wavelength services is the dedicated capacity we provide. Each wavelength is exclusively allocated to your business, ensuring optimal performance, and eliminating concerns about bandwidth congestion or shared resources. This dedicated capacity guarantees reliable and consistent connectivity, enabling you to transmit large volumes of data quickly and securely.
With coverage across Tasmania, our DWDM wavelength services utilise robust and geographically diverse network infrastructure. This geographic diversity minimises the risk of service disruptions due to localised events or outages. Whether you operate in Hobart, Launceston, Devonport, Burnie, Rosebery, or multiple other locations, our services deliver resilient connectivity, safeguarding your business against unexpected network interruptions.
We prioritise the reliability and efficiency of our DWDM wavelength services through our local Network Operations Centre (NOC). Our experienced team monitors and manages the network 24/7, ensuring proactive detection and resolution of any potential issues. With a local NOC, we can quickly respond to any concerns, guaranteeing optimal service performance and minimising downtime for your business operations.
Choose 42-24 DWDM wavelength services to benefit from dedicated capacity, comprehensive Tasmania coverage, geographical diversity, and the support of our local Network Operations Centre. Experience high-speed, reliable, and secure connectivity that empowers your business to thrive.
42-24 uses Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology to provide you with a long-haul high-capacity dedicated communications channel.
Wavelength-division multiplexing combines multiple optical carrier signals onto a single optical fibre by using different wavelengths of laser light.
This service can either be protected or unprotected. Protected wavelength services are mapped on two geographically diverse paths, allowing protection to be provided by 42-24’s state of the art optical transport network, in speeds from 10 Gbps to 200 Gbps.
Unprotected wavelength services are mapped on a specific geographic path, allowing clients the flexibility to control their own network redundancy. Wavelength services are typically available in more areas than dark fibre, and more cost effective over long distances, while maintaining raw speed and value for money.
